Kathy Zhu-Schleiss

President 2022 of AIA Shanghai

Kathy is the 7th President of AIA Shanghai by elect. She was the founding partner as the Representative of Hellmuth Obata Kassabaum, is the Board members of AIASH WOFE since 2014. Kathy was assigned as Board member of AIA international in 2022. Kathy had served the chapter as the Chair of Outreach Committee in 2015/2016, and Chair of Woman in Architecture in 2019.

Kathy has more than 20 years professional practice in Asia Pacific region. She is currently the Managing Director of German architecture firm, under her leadership, the team won the SusTec in Shenzhen, and Foshan German Center in the recent years. Her previous assignments were China Operations Director of WATG & Wimberly Interior, China Director of Hellmuth Obata Kassabaum, Executive Director of AECOM FDA Strategy. Kathy had served Australian Government for 7 years at the beginning of her professional career.
