Today, we gather to celebrate the harmony and coexistence of diverse cultures. We come from different backgrounds—acrossChina, Guangdong, and the world—but share a common passion for cultural dialogue and interaction. This event in Guangzhou highlights the importance of mutual respect and understanding among various cultures. I thank InterCulture and the other organizers for bringing us together and invite everyone to our Turkish booth to enjoy Turkish ice cream, coffee, and learn more about our culture. In the meticulously arranged consulate-themed exhibition area, visitors had an opportunity to embark on a virtual world tour along the "Cultural Silk Road" of Canton Place. The Italian Consulate brought a fascinating VR immersive exhibition, allowing viewers to follow Marco Polo along the Silk Road from Venice to Kublai Khan's Chinese Empire, experiencing a journey as if they were really there. The Indian Consulate showcased ancient Ayurvedic therapy, showing the relevance of traditional medicine. The Polish Consulate presented the magnificent landscapes of Poland, while the Turkish booth's delicious ice cream became a popular spot for both adults and children. African drumming from Uganda, Peruvian organic coffee beans, and Nepalese organic tea - each one transported people to a foreign land. Here, without traveling far, you could complete a cultural exploration across Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.

As a social responsible event, the organizers aimed to convey warmth to more people in need through this activity. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Xingjiayuan Nursing Service Center in Nanhai District, Foshan City (formerly Nanhai Huiling), which will be used to repair the bathroom sinks and doors of the nursing institution. This institution, initiated by parents and senior social workers in 2019, is a nonprofit organization providing care, rehabilitation, education, and employment support for older individuals with intellectual disabilities, aiming to address the challenges they face after compulsory education.
