"We often forget that we have the nature attribute, and that nature is not something separated from us, so when we say that we have lost contact with nature, we have lost contact with ourselves."

-----Andy Goldsworthy

How can technology, society, civilization and nature move towards sustainable development in balance? The exhibition "Ecological Civilization Community - Karin Prim Painting Exhibition" was opened on July 10, 2022, and the Austrian artist Karin Prim expressed this with her works.

At the opening ceremony, Ms. Gong Yingchun, co-founder of communication culture, delivered a speech to welcome the guests. Ms. ira ruechert, from the Austrian Embassy in China and the Department of Culture and Technology, delivered an online speech. She mentioned that Karin Prim had participated in the group exhibition of Austrian and Chinese artists curated by Alexander Grimmer, the curator of this exhibition, and had an indissoluble bond with China.

Curator Lucas Goleman commented on Karin Prim's works in the connection: the real "web of life" is biodiversity, which is a multifaceted expression of the creative power and potential of life, and the source of life vitality and resilience on the earth. Curator Alexander Grimmer and artist Karin Plim had a dialogue on the connotation of the work. Among them, the curator asked about the meaning of human beings in Karin Prim's paintings. She said that she did not depict human beings except in the form of skulls and artifacts, because what human beings do in their "habitat" can only be considered terrible.

Karin Prim further explains her creative ideas. In her works, she explores the relationship between nature and civilization, which also relates to the communication between different natural and cultural forms. On the whole, her works form a "community" across the globe: plants from all over the world are gathered in her paintings.

Chinese and western pastries, tea and drinks have been prepared. After the opening ceremony, the guests moved to the sunset reception and kept communicating. Language does not constitute an obstacle in the space of communication and culture. More foreign guests have visited China, and the standard of Putonghua is fluent and full of witticisms. As the sun set, the atmosphere of the reception grew stronger. Guests shared their appreciation of Karin Prim's works and toasted frequently.

Since mankind entered the era of industrial civilization, the deep-seated contradiction between man and nature has become increasingly apparent, and the interdisciplinary integration of ecological civilization and art is in the ascendant. This exhibition will take you on a journey of ecological civilization, and we look forward to your arrival!
